Avidius Heliodorus Severus (b. 100 - d. 152 Ūga Anwu) was a Latian orator and politician of greek lineage. He is the father of Avidius Cassius and the husband of Julia Cassius.

Avidius Severus was the first in his family to hold public office. He also commanded legions and later in his life attained the highest honors of the state. He was a very distinguished man.
