Ego the Demon was the negative conscious and ego of Marcus Antoninus. As a Semigod it lives within everyone and jumps from host to host.
20s A Difficult Age[]
Ego the Demon seeps in Marcus's conscious while he's drunk and drinking with the lieutenants and commanders of his legions. Marcus passes out and Ego comes into his dreams. In a brief dialogue with Marcus he discusses how he should give into his loneliness and "numb" himself through alcoholism. Somnus interferes, bringing Marcus back to the light. The positive conscious then begins to speak to Marcus.
Personality[]
When Ego visits Marcus, he appears as Marcus's child self and encourages him to hold on to pain. Ego is manipulative and can be big or small depending on the host.
