20s A Difficult Age Wiki

Eighth Ancestor (b. Ūga Azi; known as The Supreme Scientist; f.k.a. The Eighth Ancestor) was a Masabai warrior, scientist and former protector of the Eighth Temple on the Masabai home world. He was the only one of the Eight Ancestors who possessed the Ōjuẹgan eyes, stolen from the Leza. He was also known for creating and using the Ìyípadà technique frequently to conceal his identity amongst his "enemies" and "allies" a like.[1] One of many of the Eighth's esteemed gifts was the ability to genetically splice and infusing aṣhẹ into his subjects whom later would often become his prized creations, namely the Taurari and Kasairi. He is also responsible for creating more races that comprised of his army and burrowed into the lands of Kasa.

During the Battle of the Beginning he destroyed the Great Star, turning it into an asteroid belt and later led his a massed army, the Masabai Shadow, to Kasa, where he defended it until his demise at the hands of the Seven Ancestors namely his close ally turned arch rival, The Third Ancestor.

Early Life

Early in his life, the Eighth Ancestor was chosen and "lifted" by the mysterious Karfe Stars into their arcs where he endured training in the ways aṣhẹ for generations.[2] During the escalating intergalactic war, the Eight Ancestors tried to prevent the clash of their home worlds by establishing a “spiritual council”, serving as a platform for communication with the royal council composed of the ruling families of their worlds. But at the behest of the Eighth Ancestor’s secret influence, the families in the royal council continued to promote conflict and scarcity. They persisted in their efforts to explore new planets for habitation.[3] At this time the Eighth Ancestor became known for having many names to mask his original name. Through his right-hand lieutenant, they destroyed a world that had settled in neutrality, a place that held refugees of the war, the Great Star. This was done in a mere effort to know if it was capable of being enslaved. The world, was affectionately named the “Great Star” and was located close to the orbit of the new planet, Ḳasa and her orbiting moon.

In honor of the lost lives on the "Great Star", the Great Eight races ceased the war and enacted a peace treaty. However, the Masabai continued to fight the other Seven races for power and planetary real estate, due to lack and desecration of their species. Even before the destruction of the Great Star, the races loyal to the truce unanimously decided that the Masabai had violated the peace treaty because of the influence of the Eighth Ancestor. From there, they placed all of their efforts into destroying the Eighth and ensuring that his race could no longer obtain power.[4]
