Kitābu (pronounced: Ki-tah-bu)[1] is a genre and style of graphic novel with themes that focus on Black science fiction. The word pertaining to the visual art was first coined by Marcus Orelias. Although the word itself was not created by Orelias, its context regarding graphic novels and comic books is original. Various artist also assisted in the creation of the new genre through illustration.
