The Maciji (The Maciji Eye; pronunciation MA-cee-gee, translation: Serpent Eye or Eye of the Serpent) is an Oju Iyipada that was originally wielded by the Seventh Ancestor, and gifted by Mother Fertility and the Supreme Being who engineered the eyes themselves. It was named after the Machijai species.

- The “Maciji” comes from the Igbo language for Serpent.

- The Maciji is one of the only two oju's that when deactivated still has a pattern in the iris, the other being the Samada.
