Ḳasa[1] (pronounced: KAH-saa; The Ancient-World also referred to as The Ancient-World of 20s A Difficult Age) was the global society in which humankind, humanoids, entities, animals and many other beings lived for an extensive amount of time. The Ancient World is set on a "four world age" dating system with thirteen months in each year and twenty four hours a day. The Ancient World can also refer to the greater universe collectively which includes far off planets.
Tales from the 3rd World Age, like the title suggest takes place during the early 3rd World Age before modern human society formed.
Unlike its prequel duology, 20s A Difficult Age takes place during the 4th World Age over the span of three years during the last eight years of the First Frontier Wars, a war between the Empire of Latium and the Tribal Confederacy of the North. The Blue Madjai arc expands the story into Alkebula.
History and Creation of the Universe[]
In the beginning of space and time, the universe started with the Seed of the World as it drifted through triple blackness and formed the cosmic Egg of the World. The Egg of the World vibrated violently and from it came Father Time and Mother Triple Blackness. Together their love created ancient entities called the Leza. Mother Triple Blackness had the ability to manipulate the Leza but by their own doing the Leza drifted through the universe pulling different stars into their gravitational fields, growing. The Leza were intelligent and could communicate with each other through emotion. Although the Leza were incapable of physical verbal speech in their cloud forms, telepathic communication went on sonant. A Leza’s emotion would manifest through various colors. These same colors would illuminate the skies of the planets they hovered above. The Leza did not take a physical form but were able to transcend time. Appearing as floating "clouds", the Leza were made up of what we know to be space dust, different colors and stars that were pulled into their gravity. For unknown reasons the Leza disappeared from the Universe entirely. How the Leza are born, die or their life cycle is unknown. Legend says that the disappearance of the Leza is one reason why space is dark.[2]
Other Planets and their Histories[]

"The Great Star", was a planet that housed refugees during the war between the Masabai and the other Seven great races, it sat behind "the red planet", and was destroyed by the Eighth Ancestor turning it into an asteroid belt.
Other planets in the universe include the home worlds of The Iyaami, Mai Karatu, Ja Jiki, Kunamu, Katarfala, Bokanya, Mai Iska, Machijai, and Masabai but their names are unknown. Karfe Stars were also known to traverse the galaxy but their origins were unknown. Each of these races developed their own unique physical attributes, cultures, and languages, their evolution was meticulously recorded by Leza on the “Great Circle of Time”. Once on the circle, the Leza viewed aṣhẹ imprints of all living organisms. The level of detail and precision in the Leza’s recordings were unparalleled, making it an valuable resource for cosmic study.[3] During the 2nd World Age, the Eighth race, the Masabai were the first to “discover” the spiritual substance of the universe called, "aṣhẹ" through contact with Karfe Stars, pyramid crafts that were infused with the energy. The Karfe Stars were mysterious; they would arrive on a planet and burrowed their lower halves into the ground for cycles. The actual pilots were never seen nor did they move in their time on the planets. Cycles passed and aside from the Karfe Stars abducting a sole individual, the Masabai began to openly spread the knowledge of how to garner aṣhẹ to their brethren after coming in contact with ashe, this historically became known as the “Masabai Trail”. Finally after years of growth and learning about the Karfe arcs and the power they gave, the Karfe planted, powered up around the planet and took to the sky. On the underbelly of each Karfe shown symbols that stare upon those who stare back. Although not auditory, the arcs hovered in the air as a form of acknowledgement with those who witnessed their flight.[4]
Creation of the Ancient-World[]

The first unnamed mega water-moon of Kasa.

The Goddess Amma "designing" the world. After it was created by the Leza.
In the 2nd World Age, early in its formation, the Ancient-World began as a planet made of molten lava, volcanoes, and fire created by Amma. Amma is the goddess who injected the elements into the world, after the Leza created the world. At that time, the world was often subjected to violent storms and volcanic floods. During the war between the Great Eight races, in a bid to broker peace, an astrologists Dogu collaborated as a neutral party to identify a new world that could accommodate all the races. He "discovered" Ḳasa which at the time had multiple orbiting stars including the Great Star, a dying mega-moon of water that appeared at night and a sun.[5] During combat with the Eighth Ancestor, Amma pulled water from the moon to flood the world in an attempt to drown the Eighth Ancestor which failed but resulted in life being able to quietly flourish.

The mostly water covered surface of Kasa during the 3rd World Age where the "Battle of the Beginning" took place. At this point the planet had land masses formed already from its previous molten condition.
From the early 3rd World Age, the planet of Kasa was mostly covered in water. It is unclear when ashe was brought to the planet but during the Battle of the Beginning, the Eight Ancestors did battle using the supernatural force on both land, water and air. The Third and Eighth fought on the ocean. Upon arrival on the planet the Second Ancestor stated that the planet was beautiful but already "perverted" with the energy of the Eighth Ancestor. During his time on the lab the Eighth Ancestor established three known labs and a secret lab in which the other seven ancestors were determined to destroy the known ones.[6]
The Ancient-World[]
The Ancient World consist of various terrains and settings. Alkebula alone has every type season present. By the time of the 4th World Age, humankind has been established as one of the dominant species on Kasa, the Taurari's numbers have dwindled and the Kasairi have essentially gone extinct.

The Invisible-World[]

The Second Ancestor who "created" the invisible realm.

The Invisible-World, "created" by the Second Ancestor.
Within the Ancient World is the Invisible-World (also known and referred to as the Invisible-Realm) created by the Second Ancestor[7], it is expanding on its own across the ancient world and cannot be seen by the average eye but what emerges from it can materialize and then be seen. The depths Invisible-World is largely unknown and often an unidentified place where time and space are not congruent. The invisible-world exists between the actual fabric of the planet Ḳasa. On Ḳasa there are areas noted as “weak spots”, in these weak spots there are heightened levels of aṣhẹ from living beings that can open a gateway to and from, allowing for materialization and the release of what lies within its dimensions.[8] At the time of its creation, the invisible-world would serve as a prison for the Eighth, the Second stated to the First in the novelization of Energy Manual by Gods, for Taurari[1] that being released in the invisible-world he would not return fully powered. He would always return to a lower form, seeking a host for eternity to house his powers and that in the invisible-realm time is optional but the mind is factual.[9] In the Invisible-Realm once the Nauku is activated the atmosphere of the realm begins to change. The “sky” changes, transforming from a pitch-black expanse to a stunning, cloudless lily-white, giving way to the mirrored floors of dire depth below. The mirrored floors of ebony depth stretched as far as the eye could see, reflecting the cloudless, lily-white sky above but the ground remained cold and hardened. From the Invisible-Realm, the Second Ancestor was also able to create a "window" for remote viewing into the living. It is unclear if others could do the same.[1]
The Dream-World[]
The Dream-World also referred to as the Dream-Realm is another layer of the "Invisible Realm". During the scene that plays after the song "Prelude: Spring", while asleep, Marcus Antoninus transitions into the dream realm where he meets "Somnus". In the dream realm mostly-anything can be manifested through the subconscious mind. This layer of the realm is introduced during the album 20s A Difficult Age when Verus Antoninus falls asleep in the Antoninus villa while mourning the death of his grandmother, Avia Trajanus. It was later expanded upon in Energy Manual revealing it's true origin and creator. Normal humans are able to subconsciously enter into the Invisible World through there sleep, often returning without solid recollection of the actual place or what happened in it.[10]
Economy[]

Both circular (gold) and square (bronze) Yaska coins being exchanged.
There are many currency and trade systems throughout the ancient world but two reign supreme the "Denariii" and the "Yaska". Each having different significance in value depending on the land in which they are being used.
Yaska[]
The Yaska (pronounced YAH-ska) is the widely accepted currency used in Alkebula and it's territories. Yaska are circulated with two main coins: a square coin (bronze) and a circular coin (gold).

Denariii coins
Denariii[]
The Denariii (simplified spelling Denari) is the currency used in Latium and it's territories. As a form of double speak, stated by Iya, the Denariii currency is "worthless" in Wagadu Mandé implying that the currency fluctuates and even loses value based on geography.
